Last night (July 10th) saw Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal crowned Euro 2016 champions for the first time after beating tournament hosts France 1-0 in extra time after a less than entertaining game.

Unfortunately for captain Ronaldo he had to go off in the first half suffering a knee injury after a collision with France’s Dimitri Payet. But Ronaldo’s tears of hurt soon turned to tears of joy when Eder scored late on in extra time to clinch Portugal’s first Euro trophy.
